Quick answer

BookKeeper offers six services for Sdn Bhd companies and Enterprises (sole proprietorships and partnerships) in Malaysia: monthly bookkeeping, catch-up bookkeeping, e-Invoice / MyInvois setup, outsourced payroll, tax filing support and SST filing. Monthly bookkeeping starts from RM280/month. Most companies start with monthly bookkeeping; if your books are behind, catch up first, then add payroll, SST or e-Invoice as needed.

Key points
  • Monthly bookkeeping from RM280/month, including basic monthly financial statements and year-end closing.
  • Catch-up bookkeeping from RM150 per month of records; payroll from RM15 per employee per month (minimum RM100/month).
  • EPF, SOCSO, EIS and PCB must be paid by the 15th of the following month.
  • From 1 September 2026, the e-Invoice exemption threshold rises to annual turnover of RM3 million.
  • SST-02 is filed every two months, from RM150 per period.

How many deadlines does one owner juggle in a month?

EPF, SOCSO, EIS and PCB are due by the 15th. SST-02 is due every two months. Whether you need to issue e-Invoices changed again in September with a new threshold. And once your financial year ends, the seven-month countdown to Form C begins.

None of these is hard on its own. The hard part is that they all land on the same person, who also has to run the business, meet customers and chase payments during the day.

Each of the six services below takes care of one of these. You can choose just one, or hand over all of them.

What we do in the middle

Your documents in, ready-to-use records out

You hand over your source documents and bank statements. Our partner bookkeeping team turns them into records your auditor, tax agent and company secretary can use straight away. Already have an auditor or tax agent? We work with them directly.

  • For your auditorA tidy general ledger, trial balance and financial statements, with documents filed by month, so nothing has to be hunted down at audit time.
  • For your tax agentClosed-off records to work out Form C, Form B and CP204. Tax filing is handled by partner licensed tax agents.
  • For your company secretaryAnnual financial statements, so the company secretary can arrange the yearly SSM submission.

What does each of the six services solve?

Monthly bookkeeping

Documents recorded in the same month, bank reconciled in the same month, and basic financial statements every month, with management reports from the Growth plan upwards. From RM280/month.

Catch-up bookkeeping / clearing a backlog

Months or years of books that were never done, brought up to date year by year starting from the earliest year outstanding. From RM150 per month of records.

e-Invoice / MyInvois

Based on the RM3 million exemption threshold from September 2026, we confirm whether you need to issue e-Invoices and set up MyInvois and your software. Setup from RM500.

Outsourced payroll

Monthly salary calculations and payslips, EPF, SOCSO, EIS and PCB contribution files, plus EA forms and Form E at year end. From RM15 per employee per month.

Tax filing support

The bookkeeping team completes year-end closing, and a partner licensed tax agent handles the computation and submission of Form C, Form B and CP204, quoted separately.

SST registration and filing

If you provide a taxable service, we check whether you have passed the RM500,000 threshold, help you register, and submit SST-02 every two months. From RM150 per period.

How do I know which service I need?

Answer three questions and you will have a good idea of where to start.

Which month are your books up to?

If your last complete set of books was more than three months ago, start with catch-up bookkeeping. Until the old records are cleared, monthly bookkeeping has nothing to follow on from.

Do you have employees?

If you have employees, you have EPF, SOCSO, EIS and PCB to pay by the 15th of every month. If you have only a few staff and no one dedicated to handling this, outsourced payroll gives the best value.

Which turnover range are you in?

If your annual turnover is close to RM3 million, check whether the e-Invoice exemption applies to you. If you provide a taxable service and your 12-month turnover is close to RM500,000, check SST. If you are far from both thresholds, getting your monthly bookkeeping right is enough for now.

Example scenario

Say you run a printing shop in Ipoh as a Sdn Bhd, with four employees, and your books stopped in March this year. A sensible order is to catch up from March to now, start outsourced payroll at the same time, move to monthly bookkeeping from next month, and after year-end closing let the tax agent take over the tax filing.

How are services combined, and how are they priced?

Monthly bookkeeping comes in four plans based on number of transactions: Starter from RM280/month, Growth from RM480/month (with management reports), Pro from RM880/month (with payroll for 10 employees and a monthly online owner meeting), and Custom by quote. Other services are added item by item.

One transaction means one line of money in or out on your bank statement, or one document that needs to be recorded.

Note

These are starting prices; your final price is confirmed in a quote. Prices exclude service tax. If the service provider is registered for SST, 8% is added. See the full price list on our pricing page, and read how bookkeeping fees are calculated in Malaysia for the reasoning behind the prices.

Ask on WhatsApp
Which service should I start with?

Most companies start with monthly bookkeeping, because payroll, SST and tax filing all depend on the numbers in your books. If your books are behind, start with catch-up bookkeeping, then move to monthly bookkeeping once it is done.

Can I use just one of the services?

Yes. For example, you can outsource only payroll, or have someone handle only your SST-02 every two months. That said, the numbers match up most easily when all services work from the same set of books.

Does the monthly bookkeeping plan include tax filing?

The plan includes year-end closing and preparing your accounts for the auditor or tax agent. Tax computation and filing for Form C, Form B and CP204 is quoted separately by a partner licensed tax agent.

Which areas does BookKeeper serve?

We mainly serve Kuala Lumpur, Selangor, the Klang Valley, Penang and Seremban. Documents can be submitted online, so companies anywhere in Malaysia can be handled remotely.

How are prices calculated?

Monthly bookkeeping is priced by number of transactions, from RM280/month. Other services have their own starting prices, for example catch-up bookkeeping from RM150 per month of records and payroll from RM15 per employee per month. All prices are starting prices, confirmed in a final quote, and exclude service tax.
