Quick answer

BookKeeper offers online monthly bookkeeping for SMEs in Selangor, covering PJ, Subang Jaya, Shah Alam, Seri Kembangan, Kajang, Rawang and more. The Starter plan starts from RM280/month, with the final price based on your quote. E-commerce platform statements, factory payroll and IT company invoices are all organised every month by our partner professional bookkeeping and accounting team.

Key points
  • From October 2025, foreign workers must contribute to EPF, at 2% each for employer and employee.
  • CP204 tax estimates can be revised with CP204A in the 6th, 9th and 11th month.
  • For FYE 31 December 2025, the Form C deadline is 31 July 2026, with an e-Filing grace period until 31 August 2026.
  • E-commerce turnover is recorded at order sales value, with platform commission recorded separately as an expense.

How does the bookkeeping focus differ across Selangor?

Selangor is big, and businesses differ a lot from one area to another. These three are the more common combinations.

Seri Kembangan, Kajang: warehouses and e-commerce

Shopee, Lazada and TikTok Shop statements each have their own format, and returns and shipping subsidies need checking line by line. Without records of stock in and out, your gross profit is just a guess.

Shah Alam, Rawang: factories

Raw materials, work in progress and finished goods need regular stock counts. With many workers, EPF, SOCSO and permit costs for foreign workers must be recorded separately.

PJ, Subang Jaya: IT and professional services

Fewer transactions, larger amounts, often billed in project stages. The focus is invoice management, handling advance payments and planning directors' remuneration.

Which reports should online sellers download each month?

Settlement reports from each platform, bank statements and purchase invoices. You need all three.

On a Sunday night, the lights are still on in a small warehouse in Seri Kembangan. Two staff are packing orders while the owner watches TikTok Shop live orders on the phone. The platform pays out once a week after deducting commission, shipping and promotion fees, so what reaches the bank is always a bit less than the orders.

Example scenario

Say you sell homeware in Seri Kembangan on three platforms, with about 1,500 orders a month. At the start of each month, you put the three platforms' settlement reports, bank statements and purchase invoices in Google Drive. The bookkeeping team organises them by platform, so you can see which platform takes the most in fees and which product is actually losing money.

  • Settlement reports from each platform (with commission, shipping and promotion fee details)
  • Statements for the bank account that receives payouts
  • Purchase invoices and supplier payment records
  • Return and refund records
  • Courier company bills

What extra payroll work comes with foreign workers at a Shah Alam factory?

You need to calculate EPF for foreign workers, at 2% each for employer and employee, and handle it together with SOCSO, EIS and PCB by the 15th of the following month.

On payday at month end, in a small factory in a Shah Alam industrial area, the supervisor is working out overtime from a stack of attendance records. Local and foreign workers have different deduction rates. Get one person wrong and the payment amounts will not match.

The bookkeeping team calculates salaries and statutory deductions, issues payslips, prepares the payment files and reminds you before the deadline. The employer makes the payments through the KWSP, PERKESO and LHDN systems. See payroll services for details.

Which two tax deadlines should fast-growing Selangor companies watch?

Watch the annual Form C tax return and the CP204 tax estimate. CP204 is the estimated tax a company submits before its new financial year begins, paid in monthly instalments.

ItemDeadline
Form C (FYE 31 December 2025)31 July 2026, e-Filing grace period until 31 August 2026
CP204 revision (CP204A)6th, 9th and 11th month of the financial year

Profits at e-commerce businesses and factories can swing a lot within a year. If the estimate is far from the actual figure, you face a large tax top-up at year end and pressure on cash flow. With monthly accounts, you can decide by the 6th month whether to revise. For the full yearly deadlines, see the Sdn Bhd month-end checklist. For tax filing support, see tax filing services. Tax computation and filing are quoted separately by our partner licensed tax agent.

For online sellers, is turnover the platform payout amount or the order amount?

Generally, the sales value of orders is recorded as turnover. Platform commission, shipping subsidies and fees are recorded separately as expenses, and the amount paid into your bank is only the net figure. Using only the payout amount understates turnover, which affects your e-Invoice and SST threshold checks. Please have the accountant confirm based on your store's records.

My Shah Alam factory has foreign workers. How is EPF calculated?

From October 2025, foreign workers must contribute to EPF, at 2% each for employer and employee, alongside SOCSO and others, all payable by the 15th of the following month. Payroll services start from RM15 per employee per month (minimum RM100/month), with the final price based on your quote.

My business grew fast this year. What if my CP204 tax estimate is too low?

You can revise the estimate with CP204A in the 6th, 9th and 11th month of your financial year. Monthly bookkeeping shows your latest profit, so you have a basis for the revision. Please have our partner licensed tax agent calculate the exact amount from your records.

My PJ IT services company has overseas clients. Do I charge service tax?

It depends on the service category, where the client is, and whether your company is registered for SST. The general service tax rate is 8%. Please have the accountant confirm against your contracts, and follow the latest MySST announcements.

Do companies in PJ and Subang need face-to-face meetings?

Most work is done online. The Pro plan includes one online meeting with the owner each month. If you need to hand over physical documents, you can arrange this separately with the partner team.
